What happened to the days when I had friends who would call me to hang out or just because? Not just calling me to see if anything is going on or for a ride somewhere.
I thought this summer was gonna be a blast, but it ended up being a bust! I'm SOOOOOOO ready to go back to school you have no idea. Back to madison where I'm surrounded by great people who care about me and love just being around eachother. I'm even kinda excited for my classes. I'm looking forward to kicking some ass this next semester.
I guess there comes a point in time where you just out grow most of your friends from high school and are accustomed to new surroundings and new people. Its funny because lately I've been hanging out with people younger than me and I've enjoyed ever bit. They're always up to something and don't mind including me, seeing how my class always lets me down.
I've just been thinking about my life lately and questioning who my real friends are. Life gets kind of boring when you work every day and do nothing else because no one ever thinks to pick up the phone to see what's up or if you want to do something or anything. I don't know.
Just get me through these next 26 days and I'll be good.

SUMMERFEST IN 9 DAYS!
DAVEMATTHEWSBAND @ ALPINE IN 11 DAYS!
I'm so excited. Those days will probably some of the best moments on Summer '06. I can't wait. Summer has been pretty good thus far, but I'm still waiting to hear about a job and I'm getting really tired of waiting. I NEED MONEY! Being a college student is NOT cheap. But everything else has been going pretty well.
Kinda ready for madison....more the social part than the studies. Next school year is gonna be CRACKIN'! No more freshman status and I know soo many people now who are gonna have tons of parties n stuff. The freshman will be flocking to all of us Sophs in the dorms. And I really can't wait for the football games, YES SIR!
Ok, I should probably go clean up or something. Hopefully I'll update later on this week or something.

Well, today I finished my first year of college. It's so crazy how fast the year went. Whoever said that your college years go faster than ever was not lying. I'm so happy to be home, but I'm going to miss all of my madtowners. I kinda miss them already. I've made some really, really good friends this year and they've all made me so happy and content with life. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!
I also did really well on my exams and am waiting for two more grades to see how I did overall. I never in my life thought that I would survive Chem 329 (Analytical). That was seriously the hardest class I've ever taken in my life, but its OVER, and I ended up with a BC which isn't bad at all.
I'm really looking forward to summer and seeing all of my old friends and just enjoying summer in milwaukee. Can't wait for summerfest and DMB at Alpine. It's gonna be a good time.

A lot has happened since my last post; let's see if I can remember everything.
This past weekend Dan, Chris, Alex, and I went to Green Bay for the Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic at Lambeau Field, where Wisconsin beat Ohio State 4-2. I had such a great time with the guys and Dan's parents. Everything was great. We left Friday evening and got to GB around 7:30ish. We had dinner, watched the olympics, drank some beers (Lachey of course), and just chilled out. Chris and Julie were on the phone all night because they've been having major issues lately, but I guess everything's all figured out now. Alex and I got pretty tipsey, but I think Dan and Chris were just ok. Pretty solid Friday night if I'd say
Saturday, we woke up, ate lunch, then went on down to Lambeau for the hockey game. Such a great time, and it was cool how they got a hockey rink in the middle of Lambeau. It wasn't too cold either, which was nice. After the game, we ate dinner at Dan's then went down to St. Norbert's and partied with Rohde and some more of Dan's friends. Everyone was really cool and welcoming to us. It was really nice meeting new people n stuff. A few of them are suppose to come down to Madison this weekend, so that should be fun too.
Sunday, we ate breakfast, then went home. I got kind of depressed because I hate when great weekends come to an end. These past 3 weekends have been great; they can only get better from here.
School's going ok I guess. I really hate chemistry because I have no idea what's going on in that class, and we have an exam at the end of the month [ Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<worried!>') in entry. Since I have a few minutes before dinner and the tons of homework I need to get done tonight, I though that I'd update my journal.
After Chemistry on Friday, I took the Badger Bus home because me and Tyrone went to the Tosa East/MUHS Basketball game. The game was crowded as usual, but one thing was different about the game this year not being a student there and all.........the seniors were OC! They ALL were drunk, acting a damn mess, making up all these bogus OC cheers, it was crazy but funny too. But things got out of line and they ended up getting kicked out of the game during the fourth quarter. I love the 06ers, but they need to get their act together. 05 was nothing like how they are, we had are bad kids, but it seems that the 06ers are 10x worse. Arthur called me and Tyrone and told us how crazy it was at school today with the adminstration and everything and how they all got penalized. I'm just glad that I don't have to go through all that crap lol. Later, me and Tyrone went down to MU and went to this dance party. It was so weird because it was mostly minorities and I'm not used to being around so many of them. I haven't been to a party like that in a long time. But it was fun, prob would have been more fun if it wasn't through the school so there could be alcohol there lol. Things are always more crunk when you yourself are crunk lol.
Saturday, me Tyrone and Devere took the greyhound bus to St. Paul, MN to see Les Miserables. My Life is complete. The show was brillant. I'm so glad that I got to see the Broadway version live, seeing how it is the last time the show will be put on I believe. Randal Keith was amazing, the perfect Valjean. I think Jurken's voice is up there with him, but Jurken needs to work more on his acting skills because Randal's was amazing. Fantine, Enjolras, and Grantaire were all favs of mine as well. I did not like the Cosette at all, Megan did a way better job at it in the MUHS show. The Marius was ok, I didn't really care for his voice, but he had the Marius look. The Thenardiers was good too, reminded me alot of Shutters and Sarah. The Enjolras reminded me and Devere so much of Buko it was scary. We realized that he fit his role really well and did a great job in the MUHS show. Gavorche and Little Cosette were so cute and did a great job too. Everything was great!
Now I'm back at school with tons of work to do. Hopefully it won't be too bad of a week and hopefully I can get my laundry done today too lol. Hopefully I'll post later on this week, but until then...peace and love! |

So yeah, I really can't wait for the weekend because I'm probably coming home for the MUHS/Tosa East basketball game, if things work out, and I'm going to Minnesota saturday to see Les Mis with Tyrone and Devere. It should be a good time; everyone knows I was the superfan of it when they did it at school last year, and I'm really excited to be able to see the professional performance of it. I just have to get through these last 3 days of the week....
I'm really tired of my roommate. He's soooo anti-social, doesn't do anything with his time, just is annoying to be around him. What am I gonna do the rest of the semester. I really can't wait until the fall when me and Alex will be roommates in Turner. Kevin tried to make me feel guilty today because we won't be roommates, but before I confirmed with Alex a while ago, I asked Kevin what he was gonna do about housing next year and he talked about getting a house...but now I guess he's staying in the dorms. Idk, but next year's gonna be a good year. I'm really looking forward to being a sophomore and guiding the new freshman who are coming in, especially all the MUHS guys. I'm friends with many of them who're coming so it'll be nice to show them the routes around Madison.
Uh, yeah this journal entry is pretty random, but I was bored and wanted something to do. Maybe something good will happen this week that I'll write about later. But anyways, have a great Hump Day tomorrow, and finish the week off strong! |

I thought I'd take a break from homework and update my journal...
So, it was the first weekend back at madison and everyone's excited to party hard. Friday night me, Chris, Dan, and then some other Gilman people went to the hypnotist at the Union. Of course, I got hypnotized...but it wasn't as strong as the time I got hypnotized at DSHA's prom junior year. Somehow, everyone that came with us got on stage to be hypnotized, but it didn't work for Annette so she just watched. For the most part, everyone said they were faking it...I think it worked for me at the beginning, but I ended up playing along with it too lol.
After the hypnotist me, Chris, and Dan went to the Towers for another one of the famous Crew parties. It was pretty much a sausage fest though....too many dudes, not enough girls, but it was still fun. They had so much beer (I believe they said they spent over $100 on it, but of course it was the cheap stuff). But I did end up getting super drunk; I'm too embarrassed to put up my pics because I look like a hot mess. Chris and Julie had a few issues that night, but they ended up kissing and making up. I tried calling Max when I was at the party because it was his bday and I wanted to see how Kairos was, but Krause ended up answering his phone for some reason I don't rememnber so I didnt get to talk to him. Ben didn't even say thanks for his letter, I was kinda upset but I got over it. I'm still waiting to talk to some of the other guys I wrote to: Riley, Zack, Tom Kelly, Ben, and I kinda talked to Max online yesterday but he only said thanks and thats about it. Kevin really pissed me off because Chris and Dan ended up leaving the party kinda early, but I wasnt ready to leave...so Kevin said he would walk back with me to Lakeshore. I didn't want to walk up the hills and wanted to take the lakeshore path, but he didn't want to because it took too long. So I walked lakeshore by myself, thank God I didn't get raped, and he went up the hills n shit. He tried to call me a couple of times, I answered once because I couldn't believe him. But whatever, I'll prob end up talking to him tomorrow in Calc lecture. When I got back to Gilman, everyone was just getting in. I kinda felt left out because everyone went out together and they wanted me to come but I wanted to go to the crew party. I need to start hanging out with the Gilman gang more on the weekends. I'm mad that I'm gonna be gone next weekend and am gonna miss Allison's/Tori's/Ben's Bday party, but I'll be in MN with Tyrone and Devere seeing Les Miserables :-)!
Saturday sucked. Started off good when me, Chris, and Dan went out to eat at Chins on State, getting away from Franks for a bit bc I'm already sick of their food. We came back to the dorms so Chris could shower and so I could change and go to Club Cheetah, another famous Crew part that was suppose to be so great, but ended up being horrible. Too many people, only one keg left when we got their, and just too many drunk people everywhere (drunk people aren't fun when you're sober). We ended up leaving and going to Dan's friend's house, where there was beer n stuff but it was too late to start drinking. Me, Chris, and Julie ended up going back to the dorms and I just hung out before going to bed.
Now its Sunday...did laundry, homework, went to church, more homework, and here I am now. I'll prob read for Chem b4 going to sleep...but prob end up talking online and facebooking. This was kinda fun, I should post more often. Well, have a great week and I'll ttyl.
